Harborview House offers one of the best views of Tenants Harbor available. The house overlooks quiet waters, working waterfronts, the village, fleets of lobster boats and sail boats gliding through the outer harbor.
Sitting on 2 pristine acres and hundreds of feet of waterfront, Harborview House feels like a vacation house should — walking distance to the village of Tenants Harbor, just 3 miles from Port Clyde, frontage on calm waters and flat rocks for swimming or kayaking, a large yard, outdoor living spaces and a house that guarantees to be clean, comfortable and well-equipped.
Harborview is a year-round house and offers all the comforts of home on one level. A private drive leads to the house — you see a farmer's porch with comfortable wicker furniture and a well-landscaped yard.
The owners' of the house, the Sorg Family, really know how to make a vacation house feel just right — decorated with a blend of antiques, comfortable furniture and local art, the house feels like a vacation the minute you step inside. The house is bright, airy and spacious.
The large living room is to the left with large windows, a comfortable couch, chairs and rockers. The living room has cable television and a DVD player. There is wireless cable internet as well.
The kitchen has been recently outfitted with granite countertops — there is an electric oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and virtually everything that a cook of any level would or could need including a lobster pot and a pot for steamers (clams).
The island has a breakfast bar and overlooks the dining area. The dining room has seating for 6 and overlooks the deck, the front lawn and the harbor. The deck has a patio set with an umbrella and Adirondack chairs for dining outside of putting your feet up or drinking a cup of morning coffee.
The first bedroom has two twin beds and is across the hall from the bathroom with a standup shower.
Down the hall there are two masters — one with an en suite bathroom and one that shares the hall bathroom.
The second master has a queen bed and a large wall of windows. The primary master has a queen bed and truly superb views of the waterfront through a large picture window. The master bath has a shower/tub combination.
The house has cell phone service and a washer and dryer for guest house. A walk to the public tennis courts and 2 miles to sandy Drift Inn Beach, Harborview leaves little, if anything, to be desired.
