A neat-as-a-pin cottage with a stunning waterfront location, Honeymoon Cottage is a breathtaking retreat on coveted Stone's Point in Cushing.
The cottage sits on 3 private acres with over 500 feet of waterfront with a private beach and offers unobstructed views of sparkling ocean water.
The cottage is virtually perfect in every way, shape and form. Drive through old pine trees and see a quiet cape. A deck overlooks the water with a table and four chairs that beg you to sip coffee in the morning or have a glass of wine when the shadows are long at the end of the day.
Inside, find a vaulted ceiling, wooden beams running the width of the living room, hardwood floors, a magnificent fireplace and windows that bring the light and the ocean view inside.
The kitchen, dining and living room areas occupy the majority of the house in one large room. The kitchen is well-equipped and suitable for cooking any and every meal — the dining area can seat 4 comfortably.
The living room is centered around the granite fireplace — there are two comfortable living room chairs and a couch. The living room has a television, satellite reception and Internet.
Above the living room and up a ship-style ladder find a loft with a double bed. The loft is comfortable and suitable for older children and adults alike.
A shower bathroom is located off the living room.
The master bedroom is comfortable and serene — with the windows open, you can hear the ocean come in and out at any time of the day. This bedroom has a king bed and a private half bath with a washer.
A large, ancient hardwood tree, which grows literally on the water's edge, provides shade from the summer sun and hammock chairs sway from its branches. These chairs provide a perfect place to read or nap — you hear the winds rustling the leaves, maybe the sound of a lobster boat in the distance and the water lapping the shore.
It is pure heaven...
