Lupine Cottage, Owls Head
Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and 1 den; 1 full bathroom and 1 half bathroom
Lupine Cottage sits in an ideal location on Ingraham Hill on the way to Rockland from Owls Head. This charming and tidy cottage overlooks pristine Penobscot Bay with views of windjammers, lobster boats, islands and the Breakwater Lighthouse.
A trip to your south includes sandy beaches and the villages of Owls Head, Spruce Head, Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde and trip to the north will offer the sights and sounds of Rockland, Camden and Rockport.
Your peaceful cottage is in the middle of it all ideal for day trips.
Lupine has been renovated beautifully the downstairs is open-concept with high ceilings, hardwood floors, a large kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area with seating for four and a comfortable living room. The house opens onto a gorgeous sunroom with an ingenuous design the large windows can be opened for a screen-porch feel or closed (with the blinds closed) for a cool room on hot days. This room has a comfortable couch, leather chair and love seat for entertaining, reading or simply relaxing.
The cottage boasts a large deck at the front (water facing) overlooking a lovely lawn, a field of lupines and wildflowers and views of the bay, Owls Head and the Breakwater Lighthouse. The deck has seating for four, a bistro set for eating al fresco, and a grill.
The kitchen is large and fully-equipped with all modern appliances including a gas stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. The kitchen is open to the dining area and living room so cooks can still interact with the rest of the house a very nice feature.
The living room has two comfortable chairs and a loveseat there is a flat screen television with cable. The loveseat is located in an alcove (with the same stunning views as the living room) and opens into a single bed. This is out of the way so it can certainly be used for a sleeping area.
A half bath is located off the kitchen. High speed Internet and washer and dryer are available for guest use.
Upstairs find a large master bedroom with a queen bed and a full row of windows, running the width of the house, overlooking the water. There are black-out shades as well for those who don't want to get up with the sun.
Down the hall find a full bathroom (tub/shower combination) and a sweet bedroom with a twin bed.
Lupine is ideal for smaller groups who want to be able to walk to Rockland and experience all the area has to offer.
