Guests are free to utilize the gardens and pick fresh, wild blueberries from the fields behind the house!
The house has distant views of the ocean and is just 7 minutes from downtown Rockland and 15 minutes from Camden. A 7-minute hike up the west ridge of the property offers panoramic views of Penobscot Bay, the Breakwater Lighthouse and Camden Hills. With close proximity to 3 challenging golf courses and Chickawaukee Lake, there is always something to do.
The house has an open, airy feeling thanks to vaulted ceilings, a multitude of large windows and an open floor plan for the living room, dining room and kitchen. This house is a true "home away from home" with all the comforts you come to expect. Hardwood and slate-tile floors with in-floor heating, 3 full baths, a full-sized laundry room, 2 plasma televisions, cable television, DVD player, high speed Internet connection and a gourmet kitchen round off the amenities.

Off the dining room find the living room with TV and plenty of comfortable seating areas. This is a great place to gather for games or catching up after a long day exploring the midcoast area.
The living room opens onto the wrap-around, east-facing deck. See the sun rise and set over Rockland and watch the city lights come to life. The deck has a wrought iron dining table and chairs, 2 chaise lounges and classic porch rocking chairs. The farmer's porch on the backside of the house overlooks the gardens, picnic table and the daily deer and turkey parade that makes its way through the woods.
Meadowbrook is so well thought out, with lots of private places to retreat to when you need to get away. Off the kitchen, find a gorgeous sunroom with cathedral ceilings a perfect place for a nap, a read with a great book or just relax. Upstairs, find two exceedingly-comfortable bedrooms the pink room has a queen, antique four-poster bed and the blue room has two twin beds which can be made into a king. Each room is large and exquisitely-furnished the pink room has views of the back woods and the blue room has views facing the bay. These two rooms share a bathroom with a tub and shower handle.
A portable crib is also available for use.
