Pristine and well-appointed, the Quarry House is unique in several ways.
The house offers unobstructed, panoramic views of Penobscot Bay as well as its own private fresh-water swimming quarry. The quarry has a sandy beach and is a great place to swim and kayak.
Located on a quiet mountainside, the Quarry House is just minutes from downtown Rockland and Camden as well as the beaches and saltwater activities the Midcoast is known for.
This newly-constructed, custom house has an open floor plan with three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen and a light, airy feeling.
Exposed beams and hardwood floors throughout, the house has three decks and is well landscaped; with an appreciation for classic details, the house embraces modern architecture with clean lines and upscale design.
The kitchen, dining room and living areas are located on the first floor: with plenty of seating, the living area is spacious and comfortable.
The dining area has seating for 6+ and is accompanied by a propane "woodstove."
The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances with a double-wall oven, dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator and a gas cook top in the island.
There is also a half bath on the first floor.
The master suite is located on the first floor with a queen bed, a private deck and a phenomenal bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. The views from the master bedroom are nothing less than spectacular — see the bay, Breakwater Lighthouse and the mountain ranges beyond.
Upstairs, find a versatile area encompassing the entire second floor with elevated ceilings and skylights. The back half has a dedicated sleeping area with a queen bed and a private deck overlooking the quarry.
The front area is multi-functional with plenty of room to be used as a sleeping area, sitting area, office, etc. This area offers a day bed as well as several air mattresses for guest use.
There is a private deck off this room and the views are the same as those seen from the master below.
These two areas share a large full bathroom with a custom-built shower.
The house offers Internet, cable television and a washer and dryer for guest use.
