Rockport Farm House, Rockport Village
Sleeps 8 in 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 1/2 bathroom
Without a doubt, the Rockport Farm House is one of our finest offerings. Ideal in location and appointments this historical house is, in a word, perfect.
Located on Pascal Avenue in Rockport, the house sits privately off the street, accessed by a circular drive. Pascal Avenue is one of the premier streets in seaside Rockport Village and is lined with mature trees and fine homes.
The quaint village of Rockport, with its small downtown village, is just a short walk away (about a mile) as is the harbor, which plays host to an active lobster fishing fleet as well as sail boats and yachts.
The Rockport Farm House is in pristine condition with a nod to modern conveniences and authentic historical charm alike. In fact, the main portion of the house was originally a post and beam boat house for the Rockport Yacht Club, where vessels were stored for the winter months. The original pumpkin pine floors are still intact and lovingly restored.
The "boathouse" portion of the house contains the kitchen and the main living room/library.
Leather couches and chairs surround a vast chimney and fireplace, perfect for reading, relaxing and entertaining. Large French doors access a stone patio with grill and comfortable seating from this room.
Above it all, find a loft with a full-sized pool table.
The kitchen is gourmet and well-thought-out with slate countertops, a separate Subzero refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher and professional cook stove. The kitchen is fully-equipped for any sized meal; and a large kitchen table, with seating for 6 and more, makes this a perfect place to congregate any time of the day.
There is a bright and comfortable tiled sunroom off the kitchen, accessed by French doors, as well as a laundry room/mudroom and half bath.
The "farmhouse" portion of the house is equally as lovely with a formal dining room, a formal living room/piano room, the den and 4 bedrooms.
The den has a flat-screen television and extremely comfortable seating. Off the den, find the first floor bedroom with a double bed and a 1/2 bath attached.
Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a set of bunk beds as well as a second bedroom with a set of twin beds. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom.
The master bedroom has a queen bed with a 1/2 bath en suite.
The property has a large private backyard.
This house can sleep 7 to 8 comfortably.
This property is equipped with WiFi, cable television and cell phone service. Daily maid service can be arranged.
This property is not available in 2012
