This authentic, turn-of-the-century clapboard saltwater farmhouse is restored to include the comforts of home. It is located on 100 private acres that include a quarter mile of classic ocean frontage. A walk through the mowed paths in the field takes you to the gentle rocky shore. This is classic Maine. The back deck overlooks the hayfield and ocean and is an irresistible place. The house has six bedrooms (1 queen bed, 3 double beds and 4 twin beds (2 bedrooms have two twins, i.e. two single beds which could be made into a king)), living room, dining room, sitting room, two bathrooms (one with shower, one tub only), a kitchen and pantry, & two working fireplaces. A forced hot-air furnace provides heat. There is a t.v./vcr, a ping-pong table in the barn, and a badminton set, outdoor grill, and croquet set.
Dogs may be welcome depending on how many and the breed.
The house is located in the town of Martinsville between Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde, on the St. George peninsula.
Please note: This house rents on a Friday to Friday schedule.
