Description

This half acre property overlooks Port Clyde village and harbor, with views beyond the nearby islands to Muscongus Bay. This is a wonderful home; warm, tidy, renovated, decorated beautifully and furnished for comfort. It's within easy walking distance of favorite local spots like the ice cream & bakery shop, Monhegan Island Ferry, galleries, and restaurants.

The home is sited on a large sloping lot with gracious lawns and a spectacular professionally maintained flower garden. Just below the deck is the cutting garden with a winding stone walkway path leading to the dock and fully renovated and furnished "fish-shack" with private wharf - perfect for entertaining, reading, or just watching the local lobster boat fleet bring in their catch.

The home easily sleeps six. The full bathroom (tub and separate shower) and 3 bedrooms are upstairs. The master contains a wonderful memory foam king bed while the other bedrooms have equally luxurious single beds (two each). There is a flat screen in the master bedroom and another with associated DVD and CD players downstairs in the living room area. Bed-linens, towels, beach-towels, and terry robes provided.

The kitchen's open shelving makes it easy to view and use the many gourmet tools & amenities. Serious cooks will appreciate the five-burner DCS gas range, the full complement of stainless steel cookware, microwave, and the ultra quiet Bosch dishwasher.

Just beyond the first floor kitchen is a powder room, pantry, and fully equipped laundry room. The open living/dining room is all windows looking over the village, and the harbor. Dine on the antique French cherry table or move your meal outside onto the wide wood deck that runs the length and width of the house, offering unique views of the ever changing harbor, sky, and ocean.

The house has a two car garage, a Weber charcoal barbecue kettle, library shelves with an eclectic selection of books, and DVDs, and a game closet packed with puzzles, board games, and toys. There is custom dimmer-controlled lighting throughout, and a propane powered back-up electric generator. The phone system is digital and cordless with messaging. Cable TV and high speed internet are provided. Well-trained pets are allowed with owner's permission. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the house or on the property.

Dogs may be CONSIDERED with pet fee and acceptance of pet policy. We will need to know size, breed and age of the dog.

Water views
Water Access- wharf and boathouse. The wharf is a fantastic place to fish and swim from at high tide, but it not an easy place to launch a kayak from. Small boats may tie up temporarily for boarding, etc.
No boats are provided with this rental, but boat rentals are available in town.

For those who would like a sandy beach, fantastic and ever popular Drift Inn Beach is 1 mile away – easy to get to by foot or bike.

Outages of any type are not the basis for a refund. We cannot guarantee repair times or repair person availability.
With that said, if you have certain needs regarding the internet, please let us know and we will indicate the properties providing the service that best meets your needs.

Dogs may be considered with owner approval, non-refundable fee and pet policy agreement. Please inquire.
No boats, kayaks or other watercraft are provided due to insurance restrictions. Please contact Port Clyde Kayaks for rental options.

Household Consumables and items: The following items are typically found at the properties to get you started. 
-Dishwasher, liquid soap for sink dish washing, washing machine detergent.
- New Kitchen sponge per guest turnover.
- All purpose counter cleaner
- All purpose bathroom cleaner
- Hand soap for Kitchen & bathroom
- Bathroom tissue/toilet paper 2 rolls per bathroom per guest turnover.
- Paper towels for kitchen 1 starter roll
- A few trash bags
- Coffee filters
- Propane or Charcoal for Grill. Grill tools- scraper/steel brush, spatula, tongs, fork. Oven Mitt. 
 
You should plan to bring with you or purchase shortly after arrival:
- Groceries, coffee, condiments
-Some properties will have dry spices and other items. We are not able to inventory these things…if you     will want to have something special to cook with we suggest bringing it with you.
-Additional paper towels, toilet paper, paper/plastic ware ect.
 -Laundry detergent
-Shampoos, body soaps and other personal hygiene products.
-Beach gear- beach towels, chairs, sunscreen, bug spray, ect.
-Approved pets will need a leash.
 
-Baby equipment (you can always rent equipment from our friends at Mid-Coast Family Rentals)

Clothing: The weather can change dramatically from one day to the next. You will want to dress for the season. It is best to be prepared. Even in the warmest days of summer the nights can get cool. In the fall it is always a good idea to have a sweatshirt or jacket with you.

IN ADDITION TO THE RENTAL AMOUNT the following fees and tax apply
A $175 CLEANING FEE, DOG FEE (if applicable),
9% TAX on Rent, Dog Fees and Cleaning Fees,
A Processing Fee of 6% of the rental amount.
*ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
*A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF 1/2 OF THE RENTAL AMOUNT IS DUE UPON RESERVATION.
 
Cleaning requirements before check out: Please leave all used towels in the tub. Please remove all items from the refrigerator and wash dishes. All furniture and furnishing MUST be returned to the original location they were in upon check in. Please bag all trash and leave in receptacle provided.
 
Check in and out times: Check in is 4:00 PM and Check out is 10:00 AM. Early check in/out is not allowed in the high season. Guests who have not vacated by 10:00 AM will be charged $25.00 every 15 minutes after 10:00 AM.
