 General Information
NOTICE: All rental properties are subject to Maine's 7% lodging tax. In addition, we require a refundable security deposit.
All rental houses are fully-furnished, including bed linens, kitchen equipment, and telephone. Information on specific amenities are listed with the description of each house.
- Pets are welcome at some of the houses and may be limited in number. Prior approval required
- Some houses request an additional pet security deposit
- Groceries may be purchased either locally, or in one of the nearby towns, or we can shop for you
- Complete concierge service available including cleaning services, cooks, babysitters/nannies, tour and fishing guides
- House owners may change their rates before we are able to update our website. Rates will be confirmed upon reservation

Smoking is prohibited in and around all houses and properties.
Bayview Concierge
Whether you need kayak rentals or a nanny for the day, Bayview Concierge will take care of every detail of your vacation in Maine. SummerMaine has partnered with Bayview Concierge to make your vacation as effortless as possible. Groceries can be delivered to your vacation house before you arrive or baby equipment can be set up on site. Truly, whatever you need, Cathrine and her staff can make it happen.
Mid-Coast Family Rentals
If you are traveling with children and need to rent a crib, highchair, stroller, etc., we are happy to offer and recommend the services of Mid-Coast Family Rentals — Jill and her team will deliver these items directly to your vacation house.
Rental Property Lease Agreement
Upon reservation, you will be required to sign a Short Term Rental Agreement.

Cancellation Policy
Once you have indicated your intent to rent a specified time period and we have received your deposit to reserve your timeframe, you are financially responsible for 100% of the rental fees. If you have to cancel, the sooner we know the better chance we have of working with you to find someone to take your place. We will work with you, and do all we can to attempt to re-book the specified time to someone else. If you are compelled to cancel your reservation, your total rental fees will be forfeited. If we are successful in re-booking all or a portion of your reservation, proportionate fees that we collect will be refunded less a cancellation penalty of 25%. If we are unsuccessful in re-booking your time slot, you are responsible for paying 100% of the rental fees. Travel insurance is recommended.
Rates may possibly be negotiable, depending on the house and the time of year.
