Marshall Point Lighthouse
This well-known lighthouse is St. George's most treasured landmark. Located at the very tip of the St. George peninsula in Port Clyde Village, you might recognize it from the film Forest Gump when Tom Hanks ran to the most Eastern end of the United States. Its simplicity is absolutely breathtaking so don't forget your camera. On a warm summer night, I recommend you pack an evening snack and a blanket and sit on the lawn in front of the keeper's house to enjoy the incredible view and sound of the waves rolling.
