Chimerique is a newly constructed property located on the Shores of Harts Neck, a section of Tenants Harbor which has been home to summer residents for decades. Minutes to Tenants Harbor Village and a 5 minute drive to Port Clyde Village make this an idea location for those who wish to explore the area. Harts Neck is a dead-end road so many like to bike, walk and jog on this winding, tree lined street. The house also has the use of a shared dock for those who want to kayak, swim or fish.
 
Although the house is newly constructed, the classic and high level of detail make you feel as if you have walked into a well-preserved summer home loved by generations.  The configuration of the house makes it impossible to forget you are sitting right on the water – large windows, French doors and a two-thirds house-long deck with a cable railing system all work to maintain the endless views of outer Tenants Harbor, Southern Island and the Islands of Eel Grass Cove, and bold ocean
 
 The master bedroom is on the first floor and occupies the left wing of the house – French doors open onto an upper level deck shared by the master bed room and kitchen, offering fantastic views of the water. The master offers a queen bed, lovely furnishings and a private bathroom with double sinks, a jetted soaking tub and a large, custom walk-in, tiled shower with a rain head. This bathroom has heated towel racks and a bidet.

The Master bath, the kitchen and the 2nd floor bath share an 80 gallon gas hot water heater. The guest bath and half bath are on demand, gas fired.
 
A small hallway, with direct access to the deck separates the master from the rest of the house.
 
The kitchen is a lovely melding of old and new – think traditional design blended with high end appliances.  The kitchen has a deep sink, stylestone granite countertops, a large peninsula for food prep or entertaining during meal prep, a gas stove top, wall oven, dish washer and warming drawer.  The kitchen overlooks a small, informal dining area with seating for four – this is a cozy section of the kitchen, perfect for breakfast. There is also a wet bar with an icemaker.
 
Off the kitchen is the laundry room with full capacity washer and dryer and the most amazing antique soap stone utility sink.
 
The great room houses the formal dining room and the more formal family room. The family room is sunken with plenty of seating situated around a large fireplace and a large flat screen television. This room also opens onto the largest part of the deck, furnished with lots of outdoor seating.
 
The downstairs sections of the second wing of the house has a half bath, two bedrooms and a full bath.  The first bedroom has a Queen bed and overlooks the waterside of the property.  The second bedroom has two twin beds and is located on the inside section of the property with peek-a-boo views of the water from one window. All bedrooms on the first floor have room darkening shades. The shared bathroom has a tub/shower combination.
 
Upstairs is what we call the Common Room and it is a wonderful, well planned space. Located on the second floor of the house with a cathedral ceiling, the space is large and truly multipurpose. On one side of the partition (a large, smart closet space) are two double beds. This is a semi-private section of the common room. On the other side is a large family room area with couches and chairs and a large, flat screen television. There are also two twin beds situated under the eaves.
 
Off the common room is a large bathroom/dressing room with a claw-foot tub with a shower, two vanities as well as a toilet and bidet.
 
The common room is a great place for a family to gather after the sun has set, for kids to play while the adults visit downstairs or for a entirely separate living area for those who want their own space.

WIFI NOTE: SummerMaine recognizes that access to the internet is as important as electricity and running water to most, if not all, people. However, Maine is a more rural state by nature and infrastructure. Accessibility is limited, often unpredictable and unreliable depending on location.
While some properties do have internet connection that is more “modern”, many properties are in locations that only allow for DSL or satellite connection which can be slower and at the mercy of weather, whole network connectivity and the like.
Please be aware SummerMaine cannot guarantee the speed or accessibility of the internet at any of our properties during your stay.
Outages of any type are not the basis for a refund. We cannot guarantee repair times or repair person availability.
With that said, if you have certain needs regarding the internet, please let us know and we will indicate the properties providing the service that best meets your needs.

Limited Household Consumables and items: The following items are typically found at the properties to get you started.
- Bathroom tissue/toilet paper 2 rolls per bathroom per guest turnover.
- Paper towels for kitchen 1 starter roll
- A few trash bags
- Coffee filters
- Propane or Charcoal for Grill. Grill tools- scraper/steel brush, spatula, tongs, fork. Oven Mitt.
-Dishwasher, liquid soap for sink dish washing, washing machine detergent. (limited amounts)
- New Kitchen sponge per guest turnover.
- All purpose counter cleaner
- All purpose bathroom cleaner
- Hand soap for Kitchen & bathroom

You should plan to bring with you or purchase shortly after arrival:
- Groceries, coffee, condiments
-Some properties will have dry spices and other items. We are not able to inventory these things…if you will want to have something special to cook with we suggest bringing it with you.
-Additional paper towels, toilet paper, paper/plastic ware etc.
-Laundry detergent
-Shampoos, body soaps and other personal hygiene products.
-Beach gear- beach towels, chairs, sunscreen, bug spray, etc.
-Baby equipment (you can always rent equipment from our friends at Mid-Coast Family Rentals)

Clothing: The weather can change dramatically from one day to the next. You will want to dress for the season. It is best to be prepared. Even in the warmest days of summer the nights can get cool. In the fall it is always a good idea to have a sweatshirt or jacket with you.

IN ADDITION TO THE RENTAL AMOUNT the following fees and tax apply
A CLEANING FEE, DOG FEE (if applicable),
9% TAX on Rent, Dog Fees and Cleaning Fees,
A Processing Fee of 9% of the rental amount.
*ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
*A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF 1/2 OF THE RENTAL AMOUNT IS DUE UPON RESERVATION.

Cleaning requirements before check out: Please leave all used towels in the tub. Please remove all items from the refrigerator and wash dishes. All furniture and furnishing MUST be returned to the original location they were in upon check in. Please bag all trash and leave in receptacle provided.

Check in and out times: Check in is 4:00 PM and Check out is 10:00 AM. Early check in/out is not allowed in the high season. Guests who have not vacated by 10:00 AM will be charged $25.00 every 15 minutes after 10:00 AM.
